NPMC Welcomes Gastroenterologist, Dr. Thusha Nathan, to Medical Staff

National Park Medical Center recently welcomed Gastroenterologist, Dr. Thusha Nathan, to their medical staff. Dr. Nathan began providing part time support to patients throughout Hot Springs and the surrounding area in October of 2020, and joined South Central G.I. full time in June. Dr. Nathan brings 20 years of gastroenterology experience to NPMC. She performs the full scope of gastroenterology procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy.
“Dr. Nathan is a great addition to our gastroenterology group,” said NPMC’s CEO, Scott Smith. “We are excited that she was able to join us full time, and are proud of the experience and energy that she brings to our medical staff.
Dr. Nathan attended undergraduate school at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. She obtained her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, British West Indies. Her internship was completed at Brookdale University Hospital in New York, NY, and her Internal Medicine residency was completed at Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Dr. Nathan completed her fellowship training in gastroenterology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.
